This time it is a short story.
I was at St David church last Sunday and I had a cheque for the contribution but not one dollar in my wallet. I decided to go after the mass is over to cash some money for I hate seeing my wallet empty. As I entered the lobby, I saw a table displaying St Joseph's bread and each was for $2. Shoot, I thought to myself, I like this bread but don't have money to pay for it. I wanted it like I always do every year. So I went inside the church and started listening to Father Tim preaching and he had a small banner written on it John 3:16. He started to ask people about this verse and no one answered. Lo and behold, I felt something pushing me to speak up, so I raised up my hand and the priest asked me to say it and I went to say the verse in front of hundreds of people. I don't know how I got the guts to do it. But I did it. Everyone clapped and guess what? He called me over and gave me a free bread. God has indeed answered my wish by giving me the courage to speak out and get rewarded for it. Amen.
