God's everywhere. I am thankful for His presence in my life, for His protection, His care and mostly His love. He has shown me in so many instances, and ways how much He cares. I am so thankful for such a strong Hand in my life, a protective, a shield and a wide shoulder to cry upon. I am also thankful for his favors. Yes, favors indeed. I witness that every day and I realize that He is there watching over me. I don't know how I was able to live without knowing Him when I was in my teenage and adulthood years. But I know Him now and I want to know Him more. I am thirsty for Him, His love, His guidance, His protection and mostly for knowing Him as He was, is and will Be. He is always the same, He never changes but we do, everyday, we change our mind, we change our clothes, we change directions in our life etc...
But God is the same and always will be and knowing this stability and consistency that's coming from Him, gives me great relief knowing that He will never change towards me. There is so much I want to say but I need to tell you about my latest encounter or feeling God's Hand in my life.
I was getting ready to sell my investment property (being a seller and a realtor too) and I thought I had everything under control, but the inevitable happened 2 days before the closing. I found out that the inspection for Smoke Alarm, Carbon monoxide, etc was not done. Misunderstanding with my lawyer who told me that Co was no longer required in East Windsor, and, I thought, that it also included fire extinguisher, alarms etc...At that moment, I felt so stupid and knew that it would cause a big issue to the buyers who were also closing on their home the same day. Oops, yes, big OOOOOPS.
I could not go that day due to a bad blizzard, had to wait for the next day so that roads can be cleared somehow and specially my driveway. I was able to leave the house at 1:30pm and headed straight to the township. But I had all kinds of fears, panic etc. I saw trouble in my path and knew that it would be impossible to accomplish the impossible in a day...
I was greeted by the boss and I found out that the inspection takes place from Monday to Thursday between 8:00am and 11:00am and no Friday. It was Thursday when I showed up at the township. I admit that I prayed so hard when I was driving there and I asked God to put an end to the bad and wrong thoughts that were going in my mind and since GREATER IS HE WHO IS IN ME THAN THE ONE WHO IS IN THE WORLD came to my mind, I started repeating it and telling God that NOTHING WAS IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM...With that, I went in to face the inevitable, the unknown...
He tried to reach the inspector but to no success. I asked him to try to find my previous certificate on the computer but he could not access Kevin's (the inspector) files. So he called again but still no answer. He told me that Kevin does not come back to the office because he has rounds to do in the afternoon. I started begging the boss to help me and to find a way to solve my problem, while I was doing that I started to pray again and tears started to run down my face. I did not want to give up for I never do and this is my nature...I don't take no for answer and I kept persisting but the boss felt helpless and told me to wait till Monday...so I cried again...Lo and behold, someone comes in from the back door and looked at me and the first thing I did was ask him if he were Kevin and he said, YES. I explained to him the situation and he stood there thinking. So the boss asked him if he could spare few minutes and do the inspection and guess what kevin answered, YES. So, my first reaction, was to jump and hug him and thank him for his time, precious time. I hopped in the Police Truck with him and went to the house and, after half an hour, he told me that everything looked good and asked me that it would take few minutes to have CO ready. How UNBELIEVABLE was that? Who did ever schedule an inspection and have it done in the same day, not only that, but same hour? I cried again for God has put Kevin in my way and made him come back to the office. He told me that he usually does his shift and leaves but he decided to show up. So tell me, was God not in it or what? PRAISE the LORD. He made it happen and I went outside and lifted up my hands and thanking HIM for the gracious thing he did, for saving My neck. Had I not had the CO, the buyers would have been on the street with their moving truck left in the driveway and it would have created a big problem. I thank again my God for helping me out. So what is your story?
I encourage people, not to only follow me, but to share their experience with me, with others. I find it uplifting and inspiring. Please do so...don't be embarassed to share something personal. I am not and will never be when it comes to be a witness for God's goodness.
ReplyDeleteVery touching story, made my eyes water, yes God is great, and May God bless you and help you in all your difficult situations.

ReplyDeleteIn July 2005, I lost a job as a billing clerk and it was very hard for
ReplyDeletemy family during this time. Now, I can definitely relate to the many
people who had lost jobs during the most recent economic down-turn,
but at the time, it didn’t make sense to me.
After looking for a job for a few months, I got very discouraged and
disheartened, and I felt like I had no purpose in life.
It was really hard, and I felt like giving up. Eventually, I was
admitted to Princeton House where I was put on antidepressant
medications because of my having a chemical imbalance.. After trying
again to find some temporary, part-time jobs, I found it really
discouraging. I was starting to question my faith – ‘where was God in
all of this?’
Eventually, after being part of a women’s support group, “Healing
Hearts”, I started finding hope again that I could recover and move
past this depression. I had a choice – to become bitter or better,
and I wanted to become better – with God’s help.
. I had worked as a home health aide before, and I had enjoyed doing
that, so I decided to look into either a nursing program or something
like that. Eventually, I found a CNA training school – at Berkel
Institute in Trenton, NJ. I was able to apply there, and thru the NJ
One Stop Career Center, I was able to obtain a voucher so that I could
attend the school – free of charge!!
Wow, what a blessing. That seemed to be a sign (from God) that this
is the direction in which I should go.
I took the course at the Berkel Training Institute in December 2007
and graduated. I did well with the academic part of the course, but I
found the practical part more challenging. Eventually, I was able to
get my certification in March of 2008 – due to some challenges in
taking the practical C.N.A. test. Yet I was determined that I would
continue in this line of work.
After a short time of job hunting, I found a C.N.A. job at the
Princeton Care Center. I have been working there ever since, and
it’s almost been three years – my hire date was March 17, 2008.
Although I’ve faced many challenges in learning this job hands-on, I
have found peace in following His direction in my life.
16 years ago I was in a very nice resort in Porto Vallarta, when I felt the desire to go for a swim. Since the beach was humongous I didn't see the red flag warning people from swimming in a soon to be raging ocean.
ReplyDeleteSo I went innocently for a swim and there I was caught in the raging ocean waves. I was so terrified that I started ushering for the people on the beach for help as I knew I was going to die right there and then, if no one will rescue me. To make matters worst, the waves knocked off my prescription glasses and rendered me totally unable to see other than the water around me.
When I became so fatigued and knew that today, right now is my time to pass away, I screamed very loudly Jesus!, when I suddenly saw a white thing in the water close to me. With my poor vision I thought that it was a water balloon that was floating and I thought that if I could reach it I could stay afloat until the storm lets away.
To my great astonishment it turned out more than a balloon, it was a man who later told me that he was sitting at the beach quitely reading a book, enjoying the sun, when he suddenly felt the urge to go for a swim in the raging ocean, because he is a surfer and enjoys swimming in huge waves.
The man unknowingly must have been called by God to rescue me,especially that the beach was so huge that he could have gone swimming at another part and I would have never been rescued. When I got out of the ocean, I was trembling for half an hour straight, and people were asking what was the matter with me. I asked them if they've seen me ushering for rescue. One woman said that she did but thought I was playing...
The spirit may have been willing for some but the flesh is weak...but God always looks for plan B when plan A fails.
Mona, your story touched me. God is always with us and He always charges His angels to come to our rescue, if we believe. Check Psalm 91. He sends them to protect us, that is their mission on earth. Praise Him for ever
